Treetops, sounded weird?! It was the word God gave me for 2018. I felt God is saying that I will see the top - more things that I can ever imagine. But also to get to the top, I need to fight and climb it. It has been a year of seeing God's promises came through, as well as a year of fighting to see it all happened - and still trusting for more!
2018 has been one of a kind! 26 flights to 9 different countries in 5 different trips, not counting the travel in the country (an update from Nepal is coming up in the new year!). I don’t know how it happened… And certainly didn’t plan that too at the beginning of 2018. But God knows, and He always provides ways to make it all happen! I was reflecting this morning. If God told me that this is all will happen in a year, I will be freaking out and stressing out as an achiever… But God told me step by step, cause He is patient. Even though sometimes that step means to leave in the next week. I have such confidence that God will do it when He speaks so clear!
A lot of firsts: first exhibition, first apartment, first time to Africa, first wedding photos, and on our way to make first photobook-magazine for the people in Nepal!
I was doing a bit of calculation this year. $20,281 provided from this year alone! From start selling my photo prints - which is available all the time! (here), to do the little bits of doing car washes, and most of the time it is from generous supporters. Just this past month, I got 2 unexpected photoshoots that can cover a bit of my visa fees, and also got an unexpected great Christmas gift that I’ve been praying for: a camera bag! Long story short, it is a second-hand that cost $200 for new, and kind of like a roll-pack which what I’ve been looking for!!!
I am trusting for another at least $20,000 to come in next year. I am talking with my leader to do 3 different trips to places that we don't usually send teams in, using the photo-journalism tool. I am also trusting God to provide $500 by the 15th of January to be able to stay in this beautiful country - Australia! Would you pray with me, as I will be doing a lot of fundraising these next few weeks? Would you pray with me, as I am trusting for more monthly supporters?
